Building / Enhancement Facade Program

The City of Elkader & Main Street Elkader acknowledges the importance of the success of local businesses in the promotion of economic development. Main Street Elkader will provide a 1:1 matching grant to local businesses in the Main Street District to make facade improvements under this program. This is a one time grant. 

The financial incentives will be targeted to assist local business owners with façade improvement projects (see examples below). 

Part of Main Street Elkader's mission is to foster ongoing support towards a vibrant downtown. 

Contributing buildings located in the Main Street District will be required to follow the established Main Street Downtown Design Guide.
