Main Street Elkader is excited to offer a limited time matching grant opportunity in 2026. The funding is made possible from a partnership with the City of Elkader and our local Main Street Elkader program. 

The financial incentives will be targeted to assist local business owners in the Main Street District with façade improvement projects (see examples from Main Street Iowa below). 

Eligible Projects: 

To qualify, your business or commercial property must be located within the MSE downtown district, and the project must take place there. Priority will be given to highly visible projects that make a noticeable impact. 

Recipients will be required to follow the established Main Street Downtown Design Guide.
